i. Dr. Tyrha M. Lindsey-Warren has built a multi-faceted 25-year career based on different aspects of Marketing and Entertainment. As a professional jazz singer, she knows first-hand the power of connecting with the audience.

As a Professor of Marketing at Baylor University, she knows the power of infusing Public Relations and Marketing techniques with the nuances of storytelling, something she learned firsthand from her time spent working as a Marketing and PR Executive for organizations like Quincy Jones*David Salzman, Creative Artist Agency, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, the United States Tennis Association, and UniWorld Group. Hence, as a Managing Director of L.A.I. Communications, an award-winning boutique marketing, special events, research, public relations consultancy and management firm, she knows the importance of creating raving fans and building brands!
Dr. Lindsey-Warren speaks nationally on the topics of DEI and multicultural marketing, social media, public relations and fundraising. She has done so for Americans for the Arts, Broward County for the Arts, the Institute of Public Relations, SAMSUNG, the YMCA of the Rockies, Dolby Sound, and The Junior League, to name a few. Dr. Lindsey-Warren also lectures on Advertising and Promotions, Consumer Behavior, and Effective Communications. Her research streams are rooted in âempowered storytelling,â âhealth edu-tainment,â media and advertising, emotional contagion (word-of-mouth), and the business of Hollywood. Dr. Lindsey-Warren has published articles that have appeared in the Journal of Advertising Research, the Journal of Cultural Marketing Strategy, Journal of the Association of Consumer Research, Advertising Society Quarterly, the Journal of Academic Marketing Education, and in the books, âEntertainment Values,â published by Palgrave UK and âMarketing Strategy and Management,â published by SAGE.
Honors and awards include the 2022 ATHENA Leadership Award, 2022 Baylor Universityâs AIM Leadership Program, 2021 Baylor Universityâs Gold Neighbor Award, 2014 American Marketing Associationâs Valuing Diversity Scholarship, 2012 Network Journal Magazineâs 40 Under Forty Award, 2009 Leadership Westchester (NY) Fellow from the Volunteer Center of The United Way, 2008 âPeople To Watchâ Award from the YWCA of White Plains/Central Westchester (New York), 2009/2008/2007 Big W Gold Awards for Best Marketing and PR Campaigns from the Advertising Club of Westchester (New York), 2005 Feature in Black Enterprise Magazine, 2004 Cincinnati Herald Nefertiti Award, 2003 Whoâs Who in Black Cincinnati, 2002 YWCA Rising Star, National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Summer Fellow, National Coca Cola Scholar, among many others.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Lindsey-Warren received her Bachelor of Science in Radio/TV/Film and a Certificate in Musical Theater from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Marketing from the Peter F. Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University in Claremont, California. In 2017, she graduated with her Ph.D in Marketing from Rutgers Business School in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
